A_Guide_To_Dog_Transformation_Using_Pup_Play_Collars_1

If you’re reading this, you’ve likely fantasized about becoming a dog. There’s just something so appealing about the idea of being on all fours, barking and wagging your tail, isn’t there? Smitizen has a huge range of canine masks to choose from because of this popular fantasy.

You are likely also aware that there is often an overlap between pup play and transformation. Pup play involves several of the same scenarios, kinks, and objects that might appear in transformation fantasies. Especially collars and leads.

Whether you already own a pup play collar or simply wish to incorporate them into your written roleplays. This guide will make them more stimulating and realistic through the use of pup play collars. Now, stay still while I fetch your collar. Good boy~

Finding The Right Collar

Before you actually get to experience your transformation, you’ll have to decide on what sort of pup play collar is right for you.

I recommend prioritizing comfort above all else. Obviously, this doesn’t apply if you’re doing a written roleplay. However, if you intend to bring your transformation into reality, you’ll want to ensure that you’re not distracted by any uncomfortable sensations.

Whether it is you or someone else who will be transforming, make sure to try on some collars first. Consider how long it’ll be worn for, whether or not leads will be used with it, or any other physical activities that might occur. Planning is important!

If you live far from local kink-gear specialists, most online stores should allow you to get returns. You’ll usually have a wider range of customization options available, too!

You should also be considering your overall budget if you want to involve pup play collars. Collars can be expensive, especially if you want a custom collar. Only proceed with getting one if you can afford it or know it will be used regularly.

If you’re experiencing a dog transformation with other people, don’t be afraid to ask them to contribute towards the cost of your pup’s play collars.

You might be tempted to opt for an actual dog collar to add an extra sense of realism and make the transformation feel more authentic. But for the safety of you and other soon-to-be dogs, I wouldn’t recommend this.

Pup play collars are designed with human anatomy in mind. Save the real dog collars for your written roleplays. You don’t want to choke someone!

Attention To De-Tail!

It’s no secret that small details matter with transformation roleplays. However, it is often easy to overlook them if you’re getting overexcited.

Let’s say you’re someone who has an entire plot and setting in mind. It’s essential to plan your scenario in advance. This is obviously a lot easier to do if you’re doing a written roleplay, as your imagination is the limit.

However, that shouldn’t mean you shouldn’t consider this level of detail when planning your sessions in reality!

If you already have some accessories, why not consider getting a collar that matches them? Anything from pup hoods, fursuits, or petsuits can be enhanced with a collar that complements the design.

Depending on the scenario you’re going for, you don’t have to go with a design or color that the person being transformed would choose. It can sometimes be hotter to pick something that you would prefer or something that makes your new dog look far different from their human self.

The World’s First Dog Director Could Be You!

Consider how many people are involved. Are they all being transformed, or just some of them? That includes yourself, of course! Don’t feel afraid to write a small “beat sheet” of narrative points to go through to make your experience run smoothly!

Do you know where the location for your roleplay is going to be? Do you have enough space for what you have in mind? I’d recommend sticking to a private location to help maintain control over your surroundings. No one wants to be taken out of a kinky fantasy!

You should also consider how your transformed participants will explore their surroundings and communicate. Are they going to become anthro or quadruped? Can they still talk? Make sure to give them plenty of room and ensure that important objects for your roleplay are accessible to them.

One of the most important things to consider is who will be transforming whom? Who is taking the lead in the narrative to ensure things keep going at a decent pace? This person doesn’t have to be human!

Safety First!

For the sake of safety, consider having a safe word or sign. This will allow a participant to indicate they want to stop without having to stop the entire roleplay.

How long will you be engaging in your roleplay? Will it only be for a few hours? An entire day? More? Ensure that your participants have the necessary spare time to commit.

Will you need to purchase any additional props? Some obvious choices are dog toys, food bowls, and leads. However, if you’ve a specific theme in mind, you may want to decorate your designated space accordingly. Why not give your dogs harnesses?

A significant portion of this process, especially when involving multiple participants, will involve extensive discussion and adjustments to plans. Please keep that in mind if you’re looking for something specific.

Keeping In Character!

Hopefully, you should have your pup’s play collars sorted and have a more or less clear idea of what to take into account to set up your roleplay. But there is yet more to consider!

The transformed has to essentially act out two different roles, with a mix of the two mid-transformation. Their normal self and their dog self. Even then, they might want to play a character before their transformation, depending on their preference. This can be difficult enough for professional actors!

You want to do everything you can to keep them in character. Privacy is paramount. No external distractions such as TVs. Confiscate phones if necessary, or include that as part of your scenario. “Silly dog, you can’t use phones anymore~ Drop it. Good Boy!”.

If you need to discuss something outside of the scenario, please do so before or after you’re done. Emergencies are obviously the exception, hence the importance of safewords or signals.

Give Your Dog Some Enrichment!

If you have any additional props, make good use of them! You can even do this outside of your actual roleplay to excite your participants for what’s to come.

Try leaving a dog bed out a few weeks before your planned day. If you have a participant over for something unrelated to the roleplay, point it out. “Oh, did you notice the bed? You’re going to be sleeping in it soon”.

This also allows for easier improv, especially if some of your participants aren’t confident with their acting skills and struggle to stay in character. Can’t think of what to do? Why not try to chew on the dog toy you’ve noticed in the corner of the room?

Transforming Your Transformations

The beauty of transformation is that it allows for creativity and nearly limitless possibilities and variations in scenarios.

Experiment with your collar! The pup play collar can only be worn by your new dog after they’ve been introduced to their new owner and put it on them. Or worn after they’ve completely submitted to their new dog mind.

A_Guide_To_Dog_Transformation_Using_Pup_Play_Collars_10

It could appear as if they’re transforming into a dog, with no owners involved. Collars spread to each human in the room as they slowly become a pack of horny canines. You could just have one collar that corrupts those inside the room.

Other accessories also come into play here. Are suits the trigger? Or worn to symbolize when the transformation is complete? Is it possible to put parts of the suit on at a time to symbolize a slow transformation?

Why not try playing around with power dynamics? You could have a scenario where someone starts as a pet and turns their owner into a submissive, obedient companion, for example.

You can also spice things up by including other kinks if everyone involved is down for it. After all, dogs are interestingly known to mark their territory.

Am I Supposed To Be Turning Into A Dog Yet?

You must establish when you want to start the scenario. Usually, this will simply involve informing your participants. However, if you’re the sort of person who enjoys adding a sense of realism or surprise, your “starting point” might be a little more subtle.

If you’re going for a scenario where you’re acting as if you’re having a normal meetup, you can discuss in advance what you’ll do. For example, it might be something simple like mentioning someone looking hairier than usual.

Alternatively, some people enjoy their transformation to be forced upon them. You can always put your dog-related accessories or suits on them mid-conversation or when their guard is down.

Don’t be afraid to experiment! You can choose to reset each session and choose a different transformation method and scenario each time. Alternatively, you can also continue into a longer narrative if you prefer.

Encouraging You’re Soon-To-Be Dogs

So, how do we encourage participants to stick with their doggy mindset?

One incredibly effective way to do this is to use different names and change the way you speak to your new dog.

Stereotypical dog names work wonders. It’s also a great way to subtly indicate to a participant that they’re starting to transform if you start calling them by their dog’s name.

Anything that you would do when interacting with an actual dog is fair game. Don’t worry about embarrassing them. As long as you’ve discussed boundaries beforehand, anything is fair game!

It’s always a good idea to keep on describing how the person is transforming. This is vital for written roleplays, so make sure to share the load and have you and your participants describe their changes.

Doing a transformation roleplay in reality means you have more visuals to go from. But making comments about changing body parts really helps to fill in some of the gaps. Try mentioning how thick someone’s fur is getting or how their nose is turning wet and cold.

If you can afford to do so, why not get some props for “halfway” through the transformation, such as half masks?

And The Oscar For Best “Good Boy” Goes To…

For those of you who are lucky enough to be turning into dogs, your behavior will vary depending on the scenario you’ve discussed. However, you’re likely to take on more canine aspects either way.

Feel free to throw every single dog behavior cliche under the sun into it. Consider the temperament and breed of the dog you’re becoming and adjust accordingly. Dogs are just as unique as humans, after all!

One thing to consider is keeping things exciting for everyone involved. Someone hasn’t seen much of the action for a while? Give them some attention!

This is particularly important if some of your participants are shy and struggle to take initiative. If they’ve leaped to be there, you should actively encourage them to want to participate.

Props To You, Dog

Dog tags are a great way to remind your dog of their new name and can be particularly helpful for those undergoing the transformation process.

Likewise, leads are great for asserting dominance over a transformed or transforming dog. They allow you to restrict their movement and keep them close to you.

How To Look After Your New Dog

So now there’s at least one new dog in the world. What happens next?

You’ve likely already been giving your participants the dog treatment. If you haven’t been doing so before their transformation, now’s the time to really encourage doggy behavior!

The discussion you and your participants should have had about your scenario should indicate the direction you want things to go. However, some people prefer to go with the flow from this point on.

Often, the natural stopping point is once your roleplay has reached the end of its narrative. However, the limit is really dependent on just how long you and your participants feel comfortable keeping the scenario going.

If suits or pup play collars are involved, you might want to consider staying in character until the end of the day or until your participants have left. After all, you’ve gone through the effort of bringing props over!

If you’re going for a more casual transformation scenario, you can have the transformation be something that can turn on and off at any time. Once again, a pup play collar is very useful for this. It’s an easy way to indicate when someone is currently transformed.

Teaching New Dogs New Kinks

Struggling to think outside of the dog house? Why not try mixing in other kinks?

For example, if you’ve all transformed into a pack of anthro dogs, you could have a scenario where your personalities have become that of frat bros. Drinking plenty of beer, howling with each other, making out, and sniffing your bro’s pits… Don’t feel afraid to mix and match, bro.

If you’re feeling particularly dedicated to the quadruped dog life, consider including food in some capacity, such as dog bowls for food and water left on the floor for your new dogs to lap up. However, we wouldn’t recommend actually giving anyone real dog food!

If you’d like an alternative that resembles dog food, try chopping up some slow-cooked beef covered in gravy. If they’re particularly dedicated, placing it in the fridge beforehand should give it a similar appearance to the real thing.

Most importantly, regardless of the scenario, respect your participants’ right to call it quits. It can be hard to tell how you’re going to feel about a kinky roleplay scenario like this until you’re in the middle of it. Once again, this is why safewords are vital.

Communicate with them afterward once everyone involved has completed their tasks. Find out why they decided to stop, if possible so that you can make adjustments. However, if they don’t want to say, please continue to respect their boundaries and refrain from demanding answers. Everyone has a right to privacy, even dogs.

Back To Humanity (Optional, Of Course!)

So now you’ve barked to your heart’s content, and you’re all ready to call it quits. What should you be doing to help ground yourselves back to reality(ish)?

Give yourselves some time to just chill out together, out of character. Even if someone is still wearing their dog accessories, if you’ve all agreed to stop, you stop. This is especially important if you include any particularly intense kinks.

If everyone wants to, you should discuss the roleplay itself. Find out what worked and what didn’t. You might be a bit reluctant to break the illusion so soon afterward, but it’s worth it to make your next session even better!

Don’t be offended if your participants don’t want to do another session. Many people might agree to try it because they’re curious. You don’t want to be known as someone who forces people to do something they’re uncomfortable with!

They’ll appreciate you asking how they felt. It’s a learning process for everyone involved. Even experienced kinksters.

If you’re uncertain someone was telling the truth about how they felt, you can always double-check at a later date. It helps if they’ve completely removed themselves from that environment. You want to avoid having someone uncomfortable but too polite to say otherwise!

Same Time, Next Week?

Once you’ve finally reverted your transformation and returned to reality, you’re eager to try another session, aren’t you?

Ensure that everyone receives the gear they lent to you or other participants. Kink gear can be expensive, so respect that you’ve been trusted with it!

Even if they suggest you keep it for next time, insist that they take it with them. You don’t want to be responsible for any accidents or thefts! Exceptions may be considered if they literally can’t store their items in their own home.

Don’t immediately ask if your participants would like another session. Give it about a week or so. It’ll be fresh on their minds, but not too early that they haven’t had a chance to reflect on their experience.

That is to say, if you’re particularly bold, there technically doesn’t have to be an end. You can always take the idea of turning dog mode on and off to an extreme and keep it up for a lifetime, if you so wish.

So, In Conclusion, Who’s A Good Boy?!

You are! Yes, you are! Look how that new tail is wagging! You’re already looking so much better with those paws!

Hopefully, you should now be more prepared to give dog transformation, including pup play collars, a try! Whether you’re roleplaying in person or over social media, It’s amazing to think of just how many scenarios one accessory can lead towards.

Just remember to be creative, open to improvising, and to be respectful of others’ limits. And of course, don’t forget to sit. Stay. Yes, good dog! I can already hear your voice changing!
